Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge |
Today was a day to make miles. We are
headed to visit my cousins in Minnesota the state of my birth. I
lived here for the first ten years of my life and many of my
relatives still live here. So it was pretty much a break from
birding today although I always have one eye out for birds. We did
see two Tundra Swans on a pond as we flew by on I 94 .

We had a hard time hearing your latest video with all the wind in the background. We used the Sibley Birds book to identify the Bird of the Week. We all thought it was a Downy Woodpecker. Hope that is correct!
ReplyDeleteYou are actually on bird 103 now, your previous blog entry had a few birds starting at 70 and went to 75 and then this list once again starts at 70. We made the adjustment on our list on the bulletin board.
ReplyDeleteHello Three Sisters gang, thanks for getting me straight on the numbering, cool to learn I have more birds than I thought. Birding has bee slow the past two days due to visits with my relatives and rainy weather. I do have some additions however so hopefully I keep the numbers straight. Correct on the bird ID. My next post will be the start of the bird identification posts. Happy birding.
